Paul Taylor, President and CEO

Paul Taylor joined NaiKun in May 2008. He brings extensive senior-level public and private-sector expertise to the company. Most recently, he was President and CEO of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), Canada's largest auto insurer. Mr. Taylor advanced and secured ICBC's market position during a period of regulatory restructuring and increased competition. Under his management, premiums and retained earnings grew significantly, while operating-cost growth was contained, allowing competitive insurance rates to be lowered in the province during three of the last four years. Mr. Taylor also served as the B.C. government's Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary to the Treasury Board. During his tenure, he played a leadership role in the implementation of a comprehensive legislative agenda along with a new fiscal and economic framework. An improved debt rating for the province from international bond-rating agencies was also secured. In the private sector, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development at TransAlta, where his responsibilities included leading the power company's US entry strategy, which resulted in the acquisition of the 1,400 MW Centralia power plant in Washington. Mr. Taylor was also Manager of Volunteers for the successful 1988 Olympic Winter Games held in Calgary.

Steven Eckert
, Senior Vice-President
President, NaiKun Wind Development Inc. (subsidiary)

Steven Eckert joined NaiKun in April 2008. He previously worked as a consultant to BC Hydro and is a former Vice-President of Project Development for Constellation Energy, a Fortune 200 energy company. He has broad experience in project and business development, along with independent power projects across the Americas. At Constellation, he developed power projects for industrial clients, focusing on renewable energy and co-generation projects. As a consultant to BC Hydro, he is familiar with the utility's acquisition and procurement practices. He also managed the redevelopment of two large-scale hydroelectric projects and appeared before the BC Utilities Commission. He began his career with Duke Power, where he became Senior Vice-President of Duke Energy's Latin America operations, acquiring and developing power projects and transmission systems.

Michael J. O'Connor
, Senior Vice-President
President, NaiKun Wind Generating Inc. (subsidiary)

Michael O'Connor joins NaiKun as head of the company's generation subsidiary, NaiKun Wind Generation Inc. Previously, he was Project Director for Vancouver's Canada Line Rapid Transit Project with SNC-Lavalin where he was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the $1.7-billion transit project before the 2010 Winter Olympics. He also served as President and CEO of BC Transit. Prior to his work with SNC-Lavalin, he owned and operated Clearwater Technologies Inc., a developer and manufacturer of water and wastewater plant and distribution systems. Clearwater Technologies was later purchased by Terasen Utility Service s, where Mr. O'Connor served as Vice-President, Operations and Manufacturing. Throughout his career, Mr. O'Connor has successfully delivered complex, ground-breaking projects within tight timeframes and on budget.

Matt Burns, Vice-President
President, NaiKun Wind Operating Inc. (subsidiary)


Prior to his appointment as President of NaiKun Wind Operating Inc. in April, 2008, Mr. Burns served as Vice-President of Commercial Operations at NaiKun Wind Energy Group. Matt Burns has worked for the Vancouver International Airport Authority for over 10 years, where he most recently held the position of Director within the operations department. He has significant experience in project management and was responsible for several key business processes at YVR, including service contracts. Mr. Burns was also involved with the development of several major capital projects and spent a number of years acting as the liaison between YVR's engineering and operations departments. Mr. Burns holds a B.A. in Political Science from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

Doug King
, CFO
Vice-President, Finance & Accounting

Doug King is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator. He holds a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is an alumnus of the UBC Portfolio Management Foundation. Previously he was the Controller and Business Manager for a local commercial imaging company and prior to that was with KPMG in Vancouver where he was a Manager in the Financial Advisory Services with a focus on business valuations, corporate finance, due diligence and project analysis.

Peter C. Hunter
, Vice-President, Design & Construction

Peter Hunter is a specialist within the field of electro-mechanical engineering and contracting. To date, he has been involved with many offshore wind energy projects throughout Europe and the United Kingdom and has been operating in the international arena for over 35 years. Prior to becoming VP and General Manager - OffShore, at the German turbine manufacturer, Nordex Energy GmbH based in Hamburg, Mr. Hunter acted as Managing Director for the UK subsidiary of the Danish wind energy company, NEG Micon A/S.

Jack Scott
, Vice-President, Commercial Operations

Mr. Scott joined NaiKun in February 2008. Most recently, he served as Vice-President of Corporate Development at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) where he was responsible for developing partnerships within the nuclear energy industry. Prior to AECL, Mr. Scott spent 10 years developing major infrastructure projects and technology businesses worldwide at Canadian multinational engineering and construction company AGRA Inc., now part of AMEC plc. He brings a formidable background in strategy and operations, bid management, investment valuation, international market analysis and development. He also has extensive experience with contract negotiations and partnerships. Mr. Scott obtained his degree in chemical engineering from Queen's University in Kingston and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in London.

Tony Fogarassy, General Counsel

Tony Fogarassy joins the company from Clark Wilson LLP, where he founded and chaired the firm's energy law group, and most recently, acted as chair of the firm's newly formed aboriginal practice group. Mr. Fogarassy's practice has principally involved commercial, First Nations, environmental, transportation and public policy law, both federally and provincially. In addition to law, Mr. Fogarassy has also worked extensively as a geologist. He has participated in projects throughout western Canada and the Canadian coasts as well as internationally for industry and government. Tony is from Prince Rupert, BC.

Philip Hughes
, Chairman

Philip Hughes is a leader in both the Canadian and international energy industries, with expertise in electrical distribution, generation and transmission. Currently, he is Chairman of Bow City Power Ltd., a power company based in Calgary, Alberta. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Calgary electricity distributor FortisAlberta. Mr. Hughes is also a Director of Churchill Energy Inc. and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement for Southern Alberta and the Calgary Health Trust. He has served as the Chairman of the Energy Council of Canada as well as the Canadian Electrical Association. He is a past member of the Officers' Council of the World Energy Council.

Michael C. Burns
, Director

Mike Burns joined NaiKun in 2001 and served in the roles of President, CEO and Board Chairman. He retired from his NaiKun executive responsibilities in September 2009. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at BC Gas. As President of the BC Gas subsidiary, Inland Pacific Enterprises, he directed the company's independent power activities. Mr. Burns founded and led an integrated public affairs, advertising and strategic consulting firm serving major public and private enterprises. In his 20-year career with IBM, he held senior executive and officer appointments in Canada and abroad until his retirement. Mr. Burns has extensive corporate and public-sector board and governance experience and has served on a number of corporate, community and association boards in Canada.

Fereydoun Dabiri
, Director

Fereydoun Dabiri is President and Chief Executive Officer of David Nairne and Associates Ltd, a BC-based architectural, planning and engineering company. In that role he is responsible for corporate leadership and coordinating the activities of the entire engineering, planning, economic development, architectural and project management staff which specializes in projects with First-Nations communities. Prior to joining David Nairne and Associates, Mr. Dabiri spent ten years with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada in the North Coast and Prince George regions providing management of engineering and architectural services, as well as technical advice to First Nations communities and Tribal Councils.

Joe S . Houssian
, Director

One of Canada's best known entrepreneurs, Mr. Houssian has extensive experience in business development, growth and operations. Mr. Houssian founded Intrawest Corporation, a world-class developer and operator of luxury mountain, golf and beach resorts. Intrawest's operations and ancillary businesses included Abercombie & Kent that operate in 100 countries. When sold in 2006, Intrawest employed 25,000 people with annual revenues over $1.5 billion. Currently, Mr. Houssian is Chairman and founder of Intracorp Capital, an urban real estate development company. He has also served on the boards of Versacold and Lions Gate Entertainment.

Kenneth F. McCready, Director

Ken McCready has built an outstanding career focused on conventional energy, alternative energy and large-scale project development. Most recently he has worked with biomass energy start-up companies. Mr. McCready is a Senior Policy Advisor for the Energy Council of Canada and previously was President and CEO of TransAlta Corporation. He currently sits on a number of Canadian and international boards, including: EnCana Corporation, Computer Modelling Group, Nexterra Energy Corp., Biosphere Technologies Inc., and Innovest Strategic Value Advisors Inc. In addition, he is a member of the Federal Minister's Advisory Council on Science and Technology, and serves as Chair, Natural Resources Canada Advisory Board on Energy and Science Technology.

Dave Rehn, Director

Dave Rehn is Executive Vice President, Generation and Wholesale Energy with ENMAX Corporation, where he is responsible for the negotiation, construction and operation of the corporation's power generation facilities and management of the wholesale energy portfolio. Prior to joining ENMAX, Mr. Rehn held key positions with Constellation Energy and Rovsing Dynamics. He also served with Duke Energy Corporation for 25 years in a variety of positions including President and CEO of Duke Energy Power Services North America.

Steven A. Sanders, Director

Mr. Sanders is a partner in the law firm of Sanders Ortoli Vaughn-Flam Rosenstadt LLP. Previously, he served as of counsel in the law firm of Rubin, Bailin, Ortoli LLP. Mr. Sanders serves as a Director of Helijet International, Op-Tech Environmental Services, Inc. and Mexoro Minerals, Inc. He is also a Director of the Roundabout Threatre (the largest not-for-profit theatre in North America), Town Hall New York City and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Graham Wilson, Director

Graham Wilson has been President of Grawil Consultants Inc., a private management and financial services firm, since 2002. He has previously served as a senior financial executive at Westcoast Energy, Petro-Canada and MacMillan Bloedel. Currently, Mr. Wilson is a Director of Hardwoods Distribution Income Fund, Itron Inc., British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. and Daylight Resources. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Wilson served as Director on a number of boards including Lightning Energy Ltd., Sequoia Oil & Gas Ltd., Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Trustee of Calpine Power Income Fund.
